Chase Sapphire Rental Car Insurance

One of the advantages of Chase Sapphire Preferred Visa Card is secondary insurance that covers damage to the rental vehicle for you. Instead of paying more than $30 per day, Chase Sapphire can cover the damage to Your rental car.

This option has not gotten much love, especially since this is secondary. Your primary insurance will cover accidents. If you have your car insurance deductible will make you pay to cover accidents, which kicked off in advance, so there will be direct costs. Your main section covers the first part of the cost (up to what they cover), then the remainder is covered by the Visa. But the bright side is if you don't have insurance.

Coverage becomes primed if you don't have other coverage.
So how are you covered by this? You are covered for damage to the car you drive. This includes damage from the arrests the column in a parking garage or damage to vehicle rental car in an accident.

It Does Not Go Beyond The Obligations
This does not cover the damage to your car or someone else's liability due to injury to other people.

For this reason, although there is some liability insurance built in some rentals, I always choose the option Personal Liability (not all coverage exists as a trick!)

What you want to do with your personal liability is ultimately up to you, but here's a guide to the things you need to worry about (ignore ejekannya about the company's credit card, Chase Sapphire does not do it except You rent a large van or other. rental car options not possible). I personally would never turn it down. It has a few different names for different car rental companies, so look for the keyword "obligations" under the description.

Remember these steps if you are using Car Rental insurance benefits Chase Sapphire as the drives are not insured:
1. Refuse the payment of damages. If you are not insured, select options extended coverage. The name will be different based on where you rent, so read to ensure you get the personal liability.

2. contact the police if you have an accident. You will need a police report it.

3. Actively contact Chase (completely through the Visa) to document and start it. Join the car rental company if you also get insurance through them.

4. wait and submit the documents they have requested in a timely manner.

And you're done! There are a few documents, but relatively painless.
